Listen to a
sermon given on Fathers Day about the greatest gift you can give back to your
children...becoming a Father of
Faith.
Learn as Abraham, father of the Jews, sets an example for generations to
come.
What does it take
to be saved? We have all heard sermons on salvation before, but have you ever
considered the parallels between what Joshua and the people needed to do to receive
the promised land and what you and I need to do in orer to receive ours (Heaven)?
Listen here to "Preparing to Enter the Promised
Land".
Hospitality is an
important part of being a Christian. You might be shocked to learn just who we are
to be hospitable to! Learn more about the true biblical concept of being
hospitable here.
The great day of
judgment awaits us all. Are you ready to face it? Where will be your eternal
destination? Are you certain. This lesson, "Facing
Reality" is one everyone needs to hear because
every one of us will face eternity.
"You Want Me to Do
What?" is a lesson on evangelism. Most of us fear evangelism for a
number of reasons: fear of rejection, fear of not knowing what to say,
feelings of inadequacy, believing we are too busy, etc. Others feel that
evangelism is the preacher's job. You need to understand that the Bible says
that the Lord requires everyone who is His to share the gospel with
others.
Whether you are
single or married, anyone could face the decision of choosing the right mate.
Single people may marry. Married people may walk down the aisle once again should
their original spouse die. Parents need help guiding their children to make the
right decision in choosing a mate. Have you ever considered how to choose a future
spouse? The time to think about this is now, when we are thinking rationally,
before infatuation sets in. "Choosing a Mate", based upon
Genesis 24 and the search for a bride for Isaac will help us all see the importance
of allowing the Lord to choose the right mate for us and a few things we should
look for in that perfect someone.
"Are You a
Thief?" Most of us would answer in the negative. So did Israel. They
did not consider themselves theives, in fact they thought they were keeping
the law. God spoke through the prophet Malachi and told the people they were
theives because they had not worshipped Him as they should have. God remains
the same today. Are you guilty of stealing from the Lord? Listen to find
out.
Words contain
power for good or evil. Words are carefully crafted into speeches and stories that
motivate and inspire or discourage and demotivate. They are used to elect
politicians. They can even lead people to salvation or cause them to be lost. False
teachers tell stories that are half-truths or untrue alltogether. They are story
tellers of "tall tales" whereas the Christian must combat this error by becoming
becoming "Story
Tellers" who tell the
truth.
Everyone loves a
bargain but bargains usually only come through understanding the agreement you
are entering into through careful consideration. Esau (Genesis 25) will forever be
remembered as a man who made a bad bargain because he sold his birthright for a
mere bowl of stew. In some ways, Christians still end up making
"Bad
Bargains", selling their
"birthright" for that which, in the end, has very little or no
value.
What do
you do with
your faith? Let's take a fresh look at Judges 13-16, reviewing the story of
Samson, a man who spent a good portion of his life serving himself until one
day he realized his need to serve the Lord. Do you realize the task that has
been laid upon your shoulders? What will you do with the commands of the
Lord "When it all falls on
you?"
Have you ever
wanted a stronger, deeper faith but weren't sure how to accomplish such a lofty
goal? One of the best ways to accomplish something you want to do is to ask a
person who has already done it. Unfortunately for us, Daniel is not here for us to
ask, but the book bearing his name contains several clues that offer some great
advice so we can develop a faith like Daniel's...a faith that was so strong that in
chapter six we find him "Sleeping Peacefully With the
Lions."
Have you ever questioned the existence of God? Do you believe in a
God that created the Heavens and the universe? If someone were asked you to defend
your beliefs, could you logically defend your beliefs without the Bible or do you
merely have a blind faith that God exists? In this series of lessons on
Christian apologetics, we will not only demonstrate the
religion of atheism but we will also demonstrate how to logically defend the
existence and offer several reasons why one can trust their Bible and see that
Christianity is a religion far superior to other religions, answering questions and
offering solutions where world religions fall far short.
